Bourke Builders recently completed a new Renal Dialysis Unit at Mayo University Hospital. This project involved the complete construction of a new Renal Dialysis Unit within a live acute hospital complex. The unit was constructed within an unused space in the hospital complex and works had to be phased around other active departments.

Client: Health Service Executive

  • The completed unit contains general ward areas, separation rooms, support areas, nurse / office areas, sanitary accommodation and disinfectant areas.
  • The works also involved the installation of all the electrical, mechanical and medical services such as the intergration of RO pipe work for the dialysis loop together with the associated suitable waste pipe network.
  • The project involved co-ordination and interaction with HSE staff together with specialist mechanical, electrical and specialist dialysis sub-contractors.
