Ballina, Co. Mayo

Bourke Builders have recently completed the extension to the Female Wing of Ballina District Hospital. The completed building included high dependency rooms which required the integration of a specialist equipment such as electronically controlled patient related infrastructure. Upgrade works included the complete overhaul of three ward areas each containing six bed, together with associated facilities such as sluice rooms and ensuites. Certain areas of this building required specialist wall and floor finishes such as resin floors.
Mechanical and electrical installations on this project were a complex operation which required that the project schedule was detailed and well managed. The success of this project, which was delivered on time and within budget, can be credited to Bourke Builders liaising with hospital staff and management to ensure that works were phased correctly.
