Our Story

Bourke Builders Ltd. was established by Patrick J. Bourke and his wife Bridget in Ballina, Co. Mayo in 1960 and over the years their children Brian and Emer have joined the business.

The company have completed a wide and varied range of projects over their five decades in operation. This family run business has expanded nationally and beyond, with completed projects extending from large scale residential developments to industrial and commercial projects.

Bourke Builders have completed a number of health care projects for the HSE, school buildings for the Department of Education together with projects for the Department of Defence and numerous county councils. The company in recent years has also carved out a specialist niche for their highly skilled approach to eminent conservation and heritage projects. Bourke Builders also have an excellent reputation for working with companies in the retail environment such as Apple, Hugo Boss, House of Fraser, Giuseppe Zanotti, North Face and Ted Baker to name a few.

Bourke’s have worked in sensitive environments such as those for the Irish Prison Service, cash in transit facilities, banking institutions and the Irish Postal Service. Bourke Builders employ many talented craftsmen who have worked with the company for many years. We also have our own in house joinery works, which we have had for many years, manufacturing bespoke carpentry. The vast majority of our clients and their architects choose to work with us again and again which speaks for itself.
